Adding a concrete patio walkway to your property, complements your home, with your lawn getting a well-kept look, and provides functionality. It will allow you to move heavy articles with ease on the concrete pathway, instead of forcing you to push them across the grass, which would damage the lawn.

There can be one or more patio walkways between various outdoor buildings on the property such as the garage, shed and the porch, or just one around the perimeter of the property for your morning walks. It can also serve as a driveway.

Concrete has high compressive strength, which means it resists crushing forces. However, it has relatively less strong characteristics in terms of tensile strength, which are forces that work to pull apart an element. Steel, on the other hand, has a very high level of tensile strength.  As vital components in building structures are required to resist both compressive and tensile forces in load bearing, concrete is reinforced with steel to overcome its inherent tensile weakness.
